Francesco is Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Verona. He obtained an International PhD in “Security, Risk, and Vulnerability” from the University of Genoa in 2025, under the supervision of Alessio Merlo (CASD - School of Advanced Defense Studies), Mariano Ceccato (University of Verona), and Paolo Tonella (Università della Svizzera Italiana).
During his PhD, he also spent six months as a visiting researcher at the TAU Group of Università della Svizzera Italiana, under the supervision of Prof. Paolo Tonella. His research interests lie at the intersection of Software Engineering and Security, with a specific focus on vulnerability detection in both mobile and IoT ecosystems, as well as user privacy in the Android environment.
